It’s Election Day in the US and, no matter where you are in the world, this election will likely impact you in some way.
In the past, I haven’t always been the most impassioned voter. In previous elections, I’ve been guilty of believing my vote didn’t really matter. I was wrong.
Don’t Take Your Voice For Granted
Have you voted yet (or encouraged your eligible friends to)?
“It took me a long time to find my voice. But having found it, I’m not going to shut up”
– Madeleine Albright
I can’t be in the business of helping you use your voice to create the future and outcomes you want and not encourage you to vote.
Voting is your voice. If you have the ability to speak for yourself, don’t let someone else decide what’s right for you. Whether you’re aware of it or not on a day-to-day basis, those folks in office are making decisions that impact your business and your life.
If you haven’t voted yet, there’s still time, and here are some helpful resources to make sure your voice is heard:
- Instagram’s Voting Center (you can find relevant information for voting in your state): https://www.instagram.com/votinginfocenter/
- Know your voting rights: https://bipartisanpolicy.org/policy-area/elections/
And no matter who wins, please remember, we are a global community: everyone deserves to be treated with kindness and respect. If your candidate does not win, there are always other peaceful ways to make your voice heard.

Brittany
P.S. Instead of a new Beyond Influential, I want to encourage you to take time to practice some self-care this week. Tensions are high and this week may feel very stressful, so make sure you’re paying attention to your mental health. ❤️ (I’ve been using the Insight Timer app – no affiliate link, just a recommendation!)
P.P.S. If you do want to listen to a past episode this week that might be helpful at this time, check out my interview with Dr. Joan Rosenberg on How to Build Lasting Confidence and Create a Life You Love—it will help you work through any uncomfortable thoughts and feelings you might be experiencing.
